Tulips

Forecasted snow didn’t live up to the hype, now we’ve hopefully got a week of lovely weather to welcome in spring! Besides daffodils, tulips are my next favorite sign that Punxsutawney Phil was bribed. My tulips are only just peaking their first green above the surface.

Still having trouble with the flower part of these paintings. In the last two, I’ve almost been happier with the glass and water. We’ll see. More on the way!

Nice ‘sway’, the way the flowers are leaning in concert, and they look fine from here. Nice colors, also, they work together really well! Hooray for spring!

  2. Bim says:

Great colors! I love the shadows in the background!

I love these!!! I have a bedroom that it would be perfect in . . .the right colors, spring flowers .. . . perfect! Please let me know the price that you would consider. And please give me first option if possible.

Melissa – Thanks! I do like the compostition in this; it keeps my eye moving and makes it more interesting to look at!

Bim – Thanks, the shadows I think help balance the colors and the composition.

Sunny – I’m glad you enjoy them! This piece is committed to an exhibt to be going up soon, but we’ll talk about how to work around that.

Oh those Tulips remind me of my trip to Holland when i was in my early 20’s, the windmills and the clogs. Pink is my favourite colour so i just love them. Your art is just beautiful.

  6. Tracy says:

Thanks kim! I’ve never been to Holland, and pink has never been on the top of my color list, but I”m starting to like it better and better.
