It’s here!  A new exhibit at Abend Gallery— “Group Show: Landscape“.

Join us on Friday, April 24th, in Denver to see a spectacular show of nearly 50 artists all celebrating their interpretation of the landscape.

I don’t do a lot of landscapes, even though I love hiking around the Rocky Mountain area.  I’ve always found it so challenging to try to adequately represent the work of Mother Nature, and never seem to be quite satisfied with the work.

I’m working on some new trail paintings now to explore exactly that and will keep you updated.

In the meantime, come see the show!  There’s nationally respected artists with work in the show, and I’ll have the one above in the exhibit.

It opens on Friday, April 24, 2015 and will be up through May 23rd.

NOTE: This was a “plein aire” piece, painted on location at Dedisse Park in Evergreen, Colorado.  (plein aire painting means painting outdoors from life)
