Join us in the parking lot south of Rooster & Moon Coffee Pub at 955 Bannock Street in Denver. There’ll be food, drink, music, and fun (oh and I’ll be painting, too!).
The event is expanding this year and is also a benefit in honor of the Horse Patrol of the District 6 Denver Police. (They help keep the neighborhood safe; let’s help them buy some hay!) But this is an event to celebrate community, community institutions, neighborhood safety, and collaboration with our community law enforcement people, including Denver Police, County Sheriff, and State Police.
Unfamiliar with National Night Out? From Wikipedia…
“National Night Out is a community-police awareness-raising event in the US, held the first Tuesday of August.
The event has been held annually since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada.
The event is meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts.”
Come join us! I’ll be painting out in the parking lot to also help celebrate and familiarize folks with the Colorado Plein Air Festival 2013 (formerly Denver Plein Air) whose roots began in this Golden Triangle neighborhood.
Celebrate your neighborhood with National Night Out on August 6th!
