Just a quick note…
Lots happening here, painting lots with new work I’ll show here soon.
A new exhibit has opened up at the Art Students League of Denver and I contributed a piece to the show. “Colorado Culture” opened last week and displays work from faculty, members, and students. I’ve got my “Raced for the Cure 2011” up, but stop by and see all the wonderful works of what some artists see as representing the Colorado persona.
Considering Colorado is one of the fittest states in the union, as well as have one of the largest ‘Race for the Cure’ events in the country (50,000+ participants and just under $2 million raised), I thought this piece was apropos.
Also had a little neighborhood show finish up this weekend, too, where I exhibited 2 framed and 20 bin works.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” ~Victor Frankl
The time change has happened, we’re back on standard time. It’s only an hour different, but still has it’s effect upon our days and nights. We notice the change and whether we like it or not, we must adjust.
I like the changes fall brings: crunchy leaves, crisp wind, sweater weather, (oh yeah, football of course!). Still in home-cooking-crock-pot mode, thus the inspiration for this little painting.
Stay tuned for more about change…
