— * sorry, no painting of mine this post * —
A few posts ago I said, “Its become apparent that I have little focus on how I’ve organized my work and business. September will bring about a change…”
I’ve been so disheveled the last month or two, in both my home and my business. I must step back and regroup.
Now those of you who know me know that I might be considered “organizationally-challenged”. I’ve never been called compulsively neat.
Despite all appearances, I know where things are. There just may not be rhyme nor reason as to why things congregate in piles on the desk, the counter, the table, the dresser, etc.
“My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance. — Author Unknown
“It’s easier to apologize for a messy house than to clean it up.” — Garfield
“I hate housework. You make the beds, you wash the dishes and six months later you have to start all over again.” – Joan Rivers
I’ve let things slide lately and it’s now gotten to the point of even ME getting sick of it. Time to clean out, weed, fix, file, and renew what’s dirty, dead, cluttered, broken, and worn. I’ll be starting with the inside, (home, office, studio) then I’ll work my way outside.
As things get cleared away, I’m betting my creative process and the direction my work will be heading will become clearer as well.
It’s a daunting task for the month.
