Gesture Studies pt 3, and My Birthday

Admittingly not my best paintings, but that’s ok.  It’s all part of Letting it Go.

“Do not protect yourself by a fence, but rather by your friends. — Czech Proverb

“Friendship improves happiness and abates misery, by doubling our joys and dividing our grief. —Joseph Addison (1672 – 1719)

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”  — C. S. Lewis (1898 – 1963)

Ta dah!!
Tomorrow, 3/31, I will have made it to yet another birthday!  (beats the alternative)

Despite our crazy, rollercoaster lives, I am so grateful for all that I have.

I’ll get by with a little help from…
my friends
my family
my animals
my classmates
my patrons and clients
my cohorts, associates, allies, buddies, cronies and followers.

Thank you all, and I’m preparing for a fabulous new year!!!

  1. These are wonderful pieces, the light is dramatic and colours true. I wasn’t brave enough to paint in life class, but should.

Have a lovely birthday tomorrow. Totally indulge yourself, you deserve it.

Happy birthday! We get by with a little help from you too.

I love those figures… great job with the colors, forms and “grounding”…. the figures feel firmly planted.

  4. Tracy says:

Thanks Jeanette. The class I’m taking (from Michelle Torrez) is pushing me to go past my comfort zone; exactly what I need!

    bimber, thank you!

  5. Happy Birthday! Hope you did something fun! Maybe something in this lovely weather we are having!

Looking forward to seeing where the figure is taking you on your journey.

  6. Tracy says:

Thanks Jennifer. I’m trying some things in my own work that are applied from the class experiences. Will post soon! Even though they may not be nude figures, its the paint application and certainly the mind set that’ll be affected. :)
